KoniarCPA has implemented a unique, client friendly pricing for monthly or quarterly business services. You pay based on the engagement, not by the hour. I believe you pay a CPA for his or her knowledge and expertise, not their effort. Before the work begins, I work with clients to determine the outcome desired for specific services. Clients know up front what they owe and maximum amount of resources they will have to spend on a particular engagement. Most CPAs charge for their services by the hour which means that CPAs keep track of time spent and then send a bill based on their time spent. KoniarCPA made the decision to not bill strictly by the hour because hourly billing focuses the CPA’s thoughts on time and procedure instead of results.
How does it work?
I work with each client to determine the outcome desired. Before I talk to you about price, I will listen carefully to you to understand your needs and how we can meet them. If together, we are satisfied that we can move you to where you want to be, I will scope the work and propose a price. This may involve giving you some options.
Can I give you a 100% final price? Most of the time, yes, but goals and needs change. I will not do any unauthorized work and bill you in arrears. We will discuss the changes and then agree upon a new scope and price.
Will you ever be charged by the hour? Yes for services not covered by the agreement and consulting services. While the fixed price entitles your company to unlimited consultation, if your question or issue requires additional research and analysis beyond the consultation, that work will be subject to an additional price negotiation before the service is to be performed. If we discuss a question you have and it’s not a short consultation or it does not relate to the current work that I am performing, I will let you know ahead of time if there will be an additional fee. I will quote you up-front and you can decide whether to have me perform the services.
